I'm a software engineer in NYC. In my freetime, I've spent the last few years learning drawing. In addition to being fun, it happens to be a great subject for understanding learning. Even within the realm of realistic (representational) drawing, there is a lot of disagreement about how to learn drawing. Some people draw with their intuition and others via analytic processes. I'm working on a method to teach drawing (using myself as a test subject). Beyond drawing representationally, I would like to understand why certain drawings look good to me.
